Mother Tongue – a trio of women poets who have traveled the world in search of and in support of the written and spoken word. Valerie Lawson, Elizabeth Thomas, and Faith Vicinanza have been on various and multiple national poetry slam teams and stages, visiting artists in schools, competed side by side in the first Women of the World international poetry slam in Detroit in 2008, are widely published, and occasionally perform together as Mother Tongue. Don’t miss their Connecticut debut at Wednesday Night Poetry.
