Our newest annual event, welcome in the new year with WNPS’s second annual Haiku Slam. Bring your haikus, write some on the spot. The winner will need between 20 and 35 haikus. A round consists of five haikus, two poets, poet to poet competition and one poet moves to the next round. Prizes for the top two poets. This fast paced, raucous, and serious, haiku event is high energy, thought provoking, inspiring, fun, electric, and very memorable. Bring haikus for the open mike if you got ’em and don’t wanna’ slam ’em. A great way to ease into 2011.
